The DAGM 2006 Program Committee wants to emphasize that all presentations - posters and oral - are considered equally important. Therefore extreme care should be taken when preparing the presentations. All authors are kindly invited to prepare their presentations according to the guidelines given below.
ORAL PRESENTATIONS
Details of the timing and location of the oral presentations will be identified in the final program, which will be provided upon registration at the conference venue.
The authors must bring their presentations (e.g. Power-Point or PDF-File) on a CD, DVD or USB memory card. Other media cannot be used. The presentations must be brought to the computer room of the conference venue to be uploaded onto the computer system one day before the presentation.
Please prepare your slide show with the following principles.
All presentations must be in English and the use of a spell checker is strongly recommended. Prepare the contents of your slides so that it is easy to read in a conference room of 200 persons. Avoid overloading the slides with excessive details or filling your presentation with too many slides. Use the same title, which you have used in your paper.
Contact the technical assistant of the conference room early enough to learn how to use the equipment. Prepare your presentation so that you reserve 5 min for questions. Strict adherence to the schedule is required, as the chairperson will stop your presentation at the scheduled time.
POSTER PRESENTATIONS
All posters are displayed during Tuesday and Wednesday (September 12th and 13th respectively). The poster sessions will be September 12th from 7.00 p.m. until Midnight (http://dagm06.hhi.de/program.html). Please also note that the posters will be presented at a specific location, which will be identified in the final program provided upon registration at the conference venue.
Posters must be installed before 11 a.m. on September 12th and dismantled after 6 p.m. on September 13th. Poster stands will be numbered according to the numbering on the final conference program.
The posters will be presented by one of the authors. The presenting author has to be available next to the poster for the first two hours of the session. During this time authors must be prepared to give more details of the study. In addition, the author can provide handouts for participants interested in the study. It is also a good idea to add an empty envelope for business cards of participants interested in receiving further information about the study.
Preparation of posters
Maximum width: 110 cm
Note that the A0-Format (84.1cm x 118.9cm) is an appropriate standard size. ---------
The posters must be installed using poster stripes, which are available in the poster area. ***Please do not use pins that will damage the poster board***.
The contents of the poster must be in English and the use of a spell checker is strongly recommended. Please prepare the contents of your poster so that it is easy to read from a distance of 1 - 2 meters and avoid overloading the poster with excessive detail. Use the same title, which you have used in your paper. It is recommended to format the poster using the following headings: Objectives, Materials and methods, Results and discussion, and Conclusions.
The conference organizers do not take responsibility for posters that are not removed after the scheduled poster dismantling time. Forgotten posters will not be mailed after the conference.
